New Committee Leadership Members

The FAIB Leadership Committee is pleased to announce the addition of three new members. Yale Bogen will serve as Newsletter Editor, Alec Haesler is our Member Relations Director, and Jonathan Wernick is the Communications Director.

Yale Bogen is a senior managing director with Development Specialists, Inc. and a veteran provider of management consulting and financial advisory services in the insolvency space. His expertise encompasses a wide range of skills in business restructuring and forensic accounting in the areas of insolvency and economic crimes Bogen’s experience includes turnaround and workout management for various industries. He has been involved in numerous engagements, handling such matters as operations and management, health care, employee benefits, litigation support, asset analysis, M&A due diligence and tax compliance, among other finance, accounting and operations experience. Bogen is a CPA and has an MBA and Master’s of Professional Accountancy, both from the University of Miami. He has offices in Miami/Fort Lauderdale and New York.

Alec Haesler is an investment banker with Raymond James. In his role as vice president, he advises a variety of stakeholders on liability-management strategies, stressed or distressed M&A transactions, complex debt and equity financing, credit agreement amendments, out-of-court recapitalizations and chapter 11 restructurings. Haesler has a long history of assisting companies with their restructuring and profit-improvement plans. He is a CPA and CFA, and he is located in New York.

Jonathan Wernick is a managing director in the Los Angeles office of B. Riley Advisory Services. He brings more than 20 years of strategic financial and operational experience, servicing clients with forensic investigations, creditor negotiations, asset sales, litigation support, solvency analysis, financial restructuring, capital sourcing and operational improvement. Wernick has taken on such leadership roles for his clients as CRO, CFO and director of Finance. He is a CPA and has an MBA from University of Southern California.

I am excited to be working with Yale, Alec and Jonathan as the newest leaders of the FAIB committee.

Winter Leadership Conference Educational Panel

The FAIB Committee is teaming up with the Unsecured Trade Creditors Committee to present an educational session titled, “Valuation in Chapter 11 Cases: Varying Uses and Emerging Trends” at this year’s Winter Leadership Conference, being held Dec. 12-14 in Scottsdale, Ariz. The panel will be presented on Saturday, Dec. 14, at 9:45 a.m. Register at www.abiwlc.org.
